Burnham Football Club is proud of its association with grassroots junior football. Especially when it comes to developing the skills of young players from the local community. Our vision is to create a pathway for young players into a senior squad including our own first team. Our current Burnham FC junior and youth teams are:

Development Centre
Football coaching for boys and girls aged 5-13 years at Burnham Football Club

Our Football Development Centre is typically on a Friday evening depending on matches. It is an ideal environment to discover, learn and improve regardless if you play for an existing club or not. Our FIFA Certified 3G pitch and onsite facilities at Burnham Football Club ensure players aged from 5 to 13 years develop as ballers, remain safe, while still having lots of fun. Our aim is to initiate and support your child’s journey in football, providing skills they can use at school or at their regular football club.

Burnham Football Club is an FA Charter Standard club

Players benefit from:

  • Fun and engaging coaching sessions, within a safe environment.
  • Actively developing individual ball skills, communication, confidence and teamwork.
  • On a state-of-the-art FIFA Certified 3G artificial pitch in groups based on age and ability.

Parents benefit from:

  • Free parking, indoor and outdoor toilets.
  • Undercover seating – Watch your child play while you stay dry.
  • Pitch-side snack bar serving hot & cold food and refreshments, and a rustic themed licenced bar with Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
  • Costs that are kept to a minimum, players wear their own football kit. You are NOT required to purchase a kit from Burnham Football Club.

Where? The 1878 Stadium, Burnham Football Club, Wymers Wood Road Burnham SL1 8JG

When? Friday, 5:45pm – 7pm (1 hour and 15 minutes per session)

How much? Only £30 (per 4 weeks) or £58.00 including our usual sibling discount if you subscribe with a second child. That’s just £6 per hour!

Adverse Weather Conditions

Football is a winter sport. Therefore, we will continue to play outside unless it is dangerous to do so (i.e. lightning strikes, hail stones, gale force winds with the possibility of falling debris).

Please make sure your child is appropriately dressed for playing football, ensure they bring a drink, a change of clothes if necesary and even some sun cream during hot weather.

Aside from our own junior teams there are other local clubs, based in Burnham, who we like to support where possible.

Burnham Junior FC

Burnham Junior FC is an established accredited local junior football club, separate to Burnham Football Club, catering for players aged from under 7 to under 18.

Matches are typically played at Cherry Orchard – George Pitcher Memorial Ground, owned by Burnham Parish Council.

Burnham United FC

Burnham United FC was established during 2022. It is completely separate to Burnham Football Club and although it is still early days for those involved, Burnham United FC are the newest of our local junior football clubs.
