Burnham v Virginia Water in 2023/24 League Cup Final

Burnham FC will play Virginia Water FC in this year’s Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup Final, aka The League Cup, following a 1-0 victory over Hilltop in the semi final replay. Charlie Morgan grabbed a last minute goal for the blues during the fixture at Sheerwater FC’s ground. Despite 9 minutes of extra time the blues held on for the win which means they now face Virginia Water in the final on Wednesday 22nd May at The Racecourse Ground home of Ascot United.

Virginia Water beat Langley 5 – 1 in their semi final match, with goals from Turnell Sinclair, Albie Nolan-French, Casey Bocarro & Jack Mills x2.

Ascot United will host both teams in the final because they are a neutral ground, a decision made swiftly by all those concerned during a meeting at Sheerwater FC following the the Burnham v Hilltop game.
