Burnham Football Club Under 18s 2022/2023 Season

Burnham Football Club U18 have finished 6th in the Allied Counties Youth Football League. Our young guns took on a challenge to turn around an early run of defeats into a more connected team performance on the pitch each week. As well as an improved player commitment contributing factors also include regular attendance at training by the majority of the 40 strong squad and a new training regime from manager Ash Watson and assistant manager Glenn Skivington. The management team were fully aware of the amount of football these young footballers play and adapted training sessions accordingly.

Four of our under 18s are now registered to play with the first team. It’s obviously a big step and it’ll take time before they are ready to play on a Saturday afternoon. However, the club is keen to provide a natural pathway for these young talented players, to help them develop their skills and gain knowledge through real experiences both on and off the pitch.

Another factor has been the amount of support we have received both on match days as well as online through the U18s social profiles. Despite some extremely wet, cold and windy evening kick offs many parents, grandparents, siblings and friends turned out to cheer the teams on and everyone involved with the team and the club would like to take this opportunity to thank those that did most sincerely.
