Match Days at Burnham FC
We welcome visitors to the 1878 Stadium on a regular basis. For some it’s a frequent return and for others it’s their first time to the recently revamped ground. The following information provides some useful guidance, however please get in touch if you have your own ideas too.
The 1878 Stadium, Burnham Football Club
Maximum capacity 2,500 including covered seating for 300 in the main stand. There is also a small covered section on the far side of the pitch with standing room only. Supporters can watch from the concrete path behind the fencing which surrounds the artificial 3G surface. Supporters are not allowed on the pitch and pitch invasions are not permitted.

On-site Parking
There are approximately 100 free parking spaces at the 1878 Stadium. There is also wheelchair access to the ground, with access toilets both inside the Blues Bar and Cafe and within the Stadium itself.
Limited free parking is available at the ground on a first-come, first-served basis. Please park as close to the next vehicle as possible and, if you park off-site, respect our neighbours and park sensibly. It takes approx 10-15 minutes to walk to the 1878 Stadium from Burnham Village High Street. Therefore, it’s easy enough to park in one of the car parks listed below and walk, or even car share if possible.
Please DO NOT park in spaces reserved for Burnham FC Managament or in front of the double gates which lead onto the pitch. These gates are to allow access for the emergency services during training and on match days.

The Blues Bar and Cafe
Live matches on Sky and BT Sport are available to watch while you relax and enjoy the club’s main bar and social space. Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are available, cash and card payments accepted. The Blues Bar and Cafe is also available for hire, please use the form provided if you would like to learn more and check availability.
Admission
Please check our social profiles prior to match days. Admission prices differ depending on who is playing and whether it is a league or cup fixture. As an example, admission prices for all Burnham FC LEAGUE MATCHES are as follows:

As a courtesy to our neighbours – NO MUSICAL OR OTHER NOISE CREATING INSTRUMENTS to be brought into the stadium.
Please be aware:
- Abusive behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated.
- Dogs are allowed in the stadium, however, they must be kept on a lead at all times.
- No flares or fireworks allowed.
- Plastic containers only, no glass.
Refreshments and Food
Teas, coffees, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, hot food and confectionary can be purchased during the game from the Stadium Cafe hatch just inside the turnstiles. Only drinks purchased from the premisses can be consumed on the premisses – Plastic containers only within the stadium.
Toilets
Toilets are located at the end of the main stand inside the stadium and inside the Blues Bar and Cafe.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PLAYERS, MANAGERS AND SPECTATORS
We have VERY strict rules regarding permitted footwear when anyone enters the pitch enclosure. Rules that apply to players, those in the dugouts and supporters who, for example, want to take photos. Please read – Permitted Footwear at The 1878 Stadium, Burnham Football Club

For the benefit of the players
We want people to enjoy their time at The 1878 Stadium. If for any reason you forget to bring your boots or Astros, there is a selection of boots in various sizes you can borrow while you are here. Just ask a staff member at pitch side hatch for help.
Sitting or laying on the pitch (unless genuinely injured), wearing flat shoes, trainers, sliders, socks or bear feet has the effect of ironing the grass fibres. Flattening the surface damages the complex water drainage system, causing waterlogging and dramatically reduce the life expectancy of the artificial pitch. Socks only, bear feet, shoes, trainers or sliders with flat soles are NOT permitted – No Excuses! Abusive behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated. If you want to know more, click here
Leaving the 1878 Stadium
Supporters should leave the stands via the main blue gate next to the tunrnstiles. On occasion, players and team management may be asked to leave the stadium via the players tunnel, passed the Blues Bar and back into the main car park.
