Burnham FC make the FiB 2023 Short List

Burnham Football Club have made the Football in Berkshire 2023 annual awards Short List in the Best Match Day Experience (Best Ground) category.

Initial nominations included Ben Murray for Manager of the Year and Ben van Aurich for Young Player of the Year. However, the club itself has been selected from the original Long List of nominations, by a judging panel, to go through to a Short List, where nominees and representatives are invited to take part in the Awards evening on Wednesday 21st June 2023.

Based on the variety of matches, the number of teams and leagues we support and the overall experience visitors get when visiting the ground to watch a match or show case event from the stands at The 1878 Stadium, we are now up against tough opposition from Ascot United, Yateley United and Hungerford Town.

The Awards Evening will be hosted by Sky Sports News’ host Tom White and held at the Double Barrelled Brewery in Reading. Attending on behalf of the club will be Club Secretary Gary Reeves and Media & Marketing Director Paul Butler.

“It’s lovely to be nominated and even better to make the cut. We enjoy entertaining both on and off the pitch and we’re honoured to be included in the final four in this category” Paul Butler, Media & Marketing Director, Burnham FC.
